2015 Asian-American Heritage Festival

Event Gallery

Press Reports

" The theme of this festival was to bring together the Asian American and local communities. It attracted many Livingston natives, nearby residents, and countless families to enjoy an afternoon of fun.

Wearing brightly colored costumes, Purple Swans performers shared the song and dance traditions of the Yi ethnic group, evoking both sentiments of the Yi love of life, as well as nostalgic memories of home overseas.

Purple Swans was invited to participate in the first ever May Asian-American Heritage Festival at the Edison Convention Center. They presented a colorful program, alongside performing art groups from China, India, South Korea and Pakistan.

Purple Swans lead a diverse full house to experience an authentic taste of unique ethnic traditions, as well as simple folk customs, to much applause."
