" The grand opening of the Asian-American Heritage Festival in Edison, NJ, hosted at the New Jersey Expo Convention Center celebrated the love of Asian-Pacific culture with a diverse offering of entertainment, food, and shopping.

The Purple Swans Performing Arts Troupe opened with a beautiful peacock-themed "Beauty of hometown" melody prelude, followed by a dance called "Sunflower", a modern arrangement titled "Happy", and the Yao Dance known as "Happy Folk Song." The last program in the show, the Mosuo dance "Rubbing", evoked much laughter and enjoyment from the audience."
